Today started absolutely beautiful, with clear skies and it was almost the perfect temperature. We started off the day with words from 1st Corinthians as our devotional. When we arrived on site, we set up outside in the shade with all the components of the ministry. I found out that we have never used a tarp to cover the clinic area, and it was quite entertaining to watch people climb on posts and trees to tie the tarp above. It was a lovely place of shade minus it flapping and bouncing around. But God provided entertainment with the tarp for the children waiting for medicine. The community was thrilled to recieve forty water fliters and all were distributed before lunch. Along with items given, the team dispersed forty-seven hygiene kits. VBS enjoyed the time with the smaller children, as the older ones were in school at that time. Coloring about the birth of Jesus was a beautiful pastime in the breeze. We ended our day with a lovely dinner and a nightime devotinal about the gifts God has given us. It was a wonderful reminder of how God uses our spiritual gifts to bless those around us and his ability to bring us all together to work through Him. Thank you to all who have prayed about the trip. God truely answers those who speak to Him because not only have the people of the Dominican Republic witnessed the Heavenly Father, but the people participating in the ministries have also grown in flexibility and community. Thanks be to God for a safe trip and the beautiful memories created along with it.
