So today was our journey to the Dominican Republic. We first took a plane out of Huntsville that was fairly short to Charlotte, North Carolina. The whole time I was so anxious and excited to go on the trip. As we boarded the plane from North Carolina to the Dominican Republic everyone was getting excited to be there. The plane ride went well, a lot of people slept. Once we landed everyone was excited and ready to be there. We went through all the luggage check and gathered everyone together to head to the bus. We had about a hour journey on the bus till we made it to Casa Pastoral (Mission House).
When we were all settled in the house we were fed immediately a delicious meal. We all prayed and ate dinner together. After dinner some youth started to play a card game called spades. The youth was soon interrupted by Glen to come for a meeting of the agenda tomorrow. During the meeting Mrs. Lisette shared a devotional about expectations we should have on the trip. We had a closing pray and some of us headed to a store called Jumbo (similar to a Walmart) to buy some last minute things. We are very happy that we made it safely. Everyone is ready for the hardworking week and seeing what God has in store for us.
